On the Tanks-alot YouTube channel, the team revisits a British Chieftain tank that has been sitting abandoned for years. They want to find out whether the historic vehicle can still start.
Reaching that goal is far from simple. A seized turret, throttle linkage problems, and signs of a stuck drivetrain all raise doubts about the tank’s condition.
Despite those issues, progress begins to emerge as access improves and key systems show signs of life. Bit by bit, the project moves closer to answering its biggest question.
Eventually, the Chieftain’s engine starts and runs again. Driving remains impossible because part of the drivetrain appears to be seized, and the full video shows the challenges behind bringing the tank back to life.
