$300 Bought This Forgotten 1966 Cadillac Coupe DeVille

Chris over at NoNonsenseKnowHow picked up a 1966 Cadillac Coupe DeVille for just $300 after it sat outside for 12 years. At that price, it seemed like a solid deal if he could just get that 7.0-liter V8 running again.

Once he got it into the shop, things quickly fell apart. The floors were rusted through, the brakes were locked up, and pulling the spark plugs revealed heavy rust inside all eight cylinders.

Even after soaking them in rust remover, the engine wouldn’t budge, and a visiting Cadillac collector confirmed it was beyond saving.

In the end, the motor was just too far gone. So instead of wasting more time on it, Chris decided to pull the valuable parts like the starter, carb, and hubcaps to get his $300 back before scrapping the rest.
